Albert Mews is a home for people of different ages, races and backgrounds, brought together to form a shared human experience with the social intent of cohabiting. It will be designed by and for its users, implanting into the neighbourhood a response to the perpetual struggle for urban inhabitants to find a permanent home. The dwelling encourages the collective imagination of a spatial contract. A sensual experience will be created through a considered use of light, materials and proportions. A mode of living defined by the balance between privacy and sociability, and a design language expressed as the paradox between movement and stillness.
